Adjustable beds are worth the upgrade.
Adjustable beds used to be a niche medical product. Today they're one of the fastest-growing categories in premium sleep, and for good reason.
Zero-gravity changes how you sleep.
Every adjustable base on our floor has a zero-gravity preset: legs slightly elevated, torso slightly inclined. This position reduces pressure on your lower back, improves circulation, and is the same posture astronauts use to offload their spine at rest. It's not a gimmick. It's the biggest reason people upgrade.

We bought a Marshall mattress and adjustable base at the Calgary renovation home show today from Canadian Mattress. Shawn helped explain the different types of mattresses and had us check out a few ourselves. The Marshall mattresses was supremely comfortable but also offered amazing support and the discount buying it directly through the show definitely helped our budget. We so appreciated the knowledge of the staff and the time that they spent with us very clearly explaining all of the varieties of mattresses and which ones would suit our needs the best. I highly recommend Canadian Mattress and specifically the Marshall mattress and adjustable base. Go talk to Shawn! He knows his stuff!!

I'm 72 and my old mattress was making it harder and harder to get out of bed in the morning. My daughter brought me to Canadian Mattress and Ed recommended an adjustable base. I was skeptical at first, but they let me try it right there in the store. Being able to raise the head of the bed makes getting up so much easier on my joints. Ed also helped me pick a mattress that's firm enough for support but doesn't create pressure points. The delivery team was wonderful — set everything up and showed me how to use the remote. I feel like I got 10 years younger!

As a hot sleeper, I was constantly waking up drenched. My partner was fine but I'd be kicking off covers every night. Ed at Canadian Mattress really understood the issue and recommended a mattress with advanced cooling technology plus breathable sheets. He also suggested we look at an adjustable base so I could elevate slightly for better airflow. Game changer! I'm sleeping through the night now and my partner says I'm not tossing and turning anymore either.

Compatibility, warranty, delivery — the things worth knowing before you commit to a base.
Depends on the mattress type. Memory foam, hybrid, and most latex mattresses work fine. Traditional innerspring mattresses often can’t flex without losing support or damage. Bring us your mattress brand and model when you visit and we’ll tell you if it’s compatible. If not, we’ll help you pick a replacement.
Yes. A split-king setup is two twin XL bases side-by-side, so each partner adjusts independently. It’s our most popular setup for couples. We have split-king configurations set up on the floor at both showrooms.
Entry-level bases cover the essentials: head and foot adjustment, zero-gravity preset. Mid-tier adds massage (usually three zones), USB ports, and wall-glide (the base slides back as it elevates so your nightstand stays reachable). Premium adds programmable memory presets, under-bed lighting, and anti-snore auto-response.
Varies by brand. ErgoSportive and ErgoBox are typically 10 to 20-year limited warranties depending on the tier. TEMPUR-Ergo is a 25-year limited warranty. We handle warranty claims on your behalf, so you call us first, not the manufacturer.
Most modern bed frames don’t accommodate adjustable bases. You’ll either use the base directly (what most of our customers do) or we can recommend a compatible frame. We can check fit when you visit.
Adjustable bases are heavy: 75 to 150 pounds depending on size. We offer free delivery and full setup at both locations. We’ll bring the base and mattress in, install them, and program the remote.
